Michael Sebahar, M.D.

Michael Sebahar, M.D. is a physician who is board certified in the field of pain management. Throughout his twenty-three year career as an allopathic physician, he became increasingly interested in more expansive concepts of wellness while integrating Eastern philosophies into his approach toward healing others and guiding them towards a perception of wholeness.

His experiences while taking the Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction course in the early 2000’s were transformative.

A five week medical mission to remote Himalayan villages under the guidance of renowned Zen teacher Joan Halifax deepened his meditation practice and commitment to serving other in different capacities.

Michael ultimately made a decision to serve others in a different capacity and worked under the tutelage of long-time MBSR teacher Julie Chippendale to serve as an MBSR instructor. He is deeply grateful for the opportunity to connect with others through the Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Program.
